Tired of the online dating scene and her nagging mother, Donella Spencer braves her eccentric extended family and heads for a month-long visit to Scotland to stay with them. As long as she keeps to herself and avoids her family as much as possible, it should be easy to relax, right?

What she doesn’t count on is running into Robbie Campbell, the guy who tried so hard to ditch her nearly twenty years ago that it took a search and rescue team to save her. Not only that, she doesn’t expect to fall for Robbie’s daughter’s big, brown eyes and agree to hold a themed costume party for Donella’s 31st birthday. Book Review Of God’s Blessings Day By Day Devotional For Kids

The devotion’s are very well written in a way that even the youngest of your children will easily understand the message. At the top of the pages they list a Bible verse, then it goes on to explain what the verse means with real life examples, then there is a prayer at the end. Every page has wonderful illustrations of an animal on it.  It is a hardcover book, so it is sure to last a lifetime of enjoyment for your child.I highly recommend this devotional.

The devotions are going to easily grab your child’s attention , at least it did for my grandchildren, from ages 13 to 3 years old. Each one of them enjoyed the devotions, and what they really liked is the fact that it is small enough that even the younger ones will have no trouble carrying it with them to church or even just at home. I received a complimentary copy through Booklook Bloggers and my review are my thoughts, and my grandchildren’s thoughts.

The Artist And The Soldier By Angella Petta #Spotlight

Historical Fiction
Date Published: May 1, 2018
Publisher: Warren Publishing
 photo add-to-goodreads-button_zpsc7b3c634.png
Two young men come of age and fall in love, set against the backdrop of true events in World War II
It’s 1938. Bastian Fisher and Max Amsel meet at an American-Nazi camp, Siegfried. Neither have any idea what to do with their blooming, confusing feelings for one another. Before they can begin to understand, the pair is yanked apart and forced in opposite directions.
Five years later, during the heart of World War II, Bastian’s American army platoon lands in Salerno, Italy. Max is in Nazi-occupied Rome where he has negotiated a plan to hire Jews on as ‘extras’ in a movie—an elaborate ruse to escape the Nazis. Brought together by circumstance and war, Bastian and Max find one another again in Rome.
Exploring the true stories of Camp Siegfried and the making of the film, La Porta del Cielo, The Artist and the Soldier is intense, fast moving, and sheds light on largely untouched stories in American and Italian history.
