On Fur Bridge Farm, Jules cares for rescued rabbits. But when a killer strikes, she’ll need a rabbit to rescue her . . .

Juliette “Jules” Bridge prides herself on the tender rehabilitation she provides for injured or abused rabbits on her New Hampshire rescue farm, but she has a very special relationship with one bunny in particular. Bun is a black-and-white rabbit who happens to have the ability to communicate through mental telepathy. Once she got over the shock, Jules found her furry friend had a lot to say.

One frigid March morning on their walk together, Bun spots a body. The police identify the frozen stiff as Arthur Freeman, aka Arty the Mime. Jules and Arty knew each other on the children’s party circuit, where he’d perform magic tricks and she had an educational rabbit petting pen. With Bun egging her on, Jules decides it’s time they hop to it and put their heads together to discover who silenced the mime. But their investigation leads them down a rabbit hole of more suspects and lies, while a killer sets a trap for them . . .

~ Guest Post With Ms. Griffin ~

I don’t remember exactly when I became a storyteller, but it might have been when my siblings (much older than me) were away at private schools. It seemed as though I had become an only child, living in the back of beyond in the Maine countryside. As a happy-go-lucky kid, who accepted my lot, I made the best of the situation.
An avid reader like my mother, it seemed natural for me to bring my invisible friends to life. After all, isn’t that what those wonderful writers did in the books I read? My first story included the pond about a quarter mile from our house. The story was mystery based, though there wasn’t a murder involved, just a dilemma that needed solving.
By the time I entered high school, I had become a great fan of Phyllis Whitney, Agatha Christie, and Mary Stewart. In my free time, I’d visit the library to find great mystery novels and soak up their stories and noticing how those plots unfolded without truly realizing it.
As usual, life happens and we often move away from the interests that kept us entertained. I never stopped reading, but I developed my creative side. Knitting, painting, needlework and such, caught my fancy and became an important to me. Taking it even further, I was determined to be featured in magazines and worked hard to hone my skills to make that happen, which it did.
My two children also enjoyed those snowy or rainy days when we crafted at the kitchen table. It was such a pleasure to watch their own creativity grow. By the early 2000’s, I realized I wanted to do more than craft and read. I wanted to write my very own mysteries, and began that journey with the help of my daughter, who was involved in law enforcement. She became my go-to person when I needed to get the character’s actions right. My first book sold in 2007, leaving me feeling not only elated, but that I had finally come full-circle and was now doing what I was meant to do. Rewrites and all.
If you have a story to tell, I recommend you step outside your comfort zone and research writing. Then get started. Who knows, you may be on the next New York Times Bestseller List.
